PIAS1 is a SUMO E3 ligase that negatively regulates STAT1-mediated transcription and contributes to the cellular DNA damage response, where it promotes SUMO conjugation of repair factors. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the PIAS1 protein and is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows. Supplied as a 100 µl vial of unconjugated antiserum, the antibody cross-reacts with mouse and rat orthologues, enabling comparative studies across human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers commonly use it to probe JAK/STAT pathway activity, examine PIAS1 localization in stressed or stimulated cells, and follow SUMO-dependent regulatory events in inflammatory signalling and genome maintenance.
