PI3K p110γ is the catalytic subunit of class IB phosphoinositide 3-kinase, encoded by the PIK3CG gene and expressed predominantly in leukocytes, where it couples G-protein coupled receptor signaling to PIP3 generation and downstream Akt pathway activation. This primary antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal raised against the p110γ isoform and is validated for Western blot detection in human, mouse, and rat samples.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a glycerol-containing formulation that limits ice crystal damage during frozen storage. For best stability, aliquot the vial into single-use portions and store at -20°C, protecting it from light and limiting repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The antibody is unconjugated, allowing flexible pairing with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents for chemiluminescent or fluorescent immunoblotting workflows.

Typical research applications include characterizing PI3K pathway involvement in inflammatory signaling, neutrophil chemotaxis, mast cell degranulation, and tumor-immune cell crosstalk in cell culture and in vivo model systems.
