This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against PHLPP1 (PH domain Leucine-rich repeat Protein Phosphatase 1), a serine/threonine phosphatase that acts as a tumor suppressor by dephosphorylating Akt at Ser473, thereby negatively regulating the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. PHLPP1 also dephosphorylates conventional and novel PKC isoforms and influences cell survival, apoptosis, and glucose metabolism.

The unconjugated antibody is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. It has been validated for western blot and recognizes endogenous PHLPP1 in human, mouse, and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species signal transduction and cancer biology studies.

For storage, keep the vial refrigerated at 4°C for short-term use. For longer-term storage, aliquot the antibody and freeze at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity. The polyclonal format ensures recognition of multiple epitopes on the ~175 kDa target, useful when working with samples where post-translational modification or splice variation may otherwise mask a single epitope.
