PHKG2 encodes the gamma 2 (testis/liver) catalytic subunit of phosphorylase kinase, a serine/threonine kinase complex whose loss-of-function variants cause autosomal recessive glycogen storage disease type IXc with childhood hepatomegaly and fasting hypoglycemia. The unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl and validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, supporting investigations of hepatic glycogen mobilization, patient-derived variant characterization, and phospho-regulation of glycogen phosphorylase b in liver tissue. Rabbit host and polyclonal format broaden epitope coverage across the kinase domain, and the unconjugated presentation allows secondary-label selection tailored to chromogenic, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent detection workflows in basic and translational research.
