The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets the beta regulatory subunit of phosphorylase kinase (PHKB), the glycogen metabolism enzyme whose deficiency underlies glycogen storage disease type IXb. Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated IgG preparation is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS supplemented with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, allowing storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw damage. Each vial contains 100 µl of working stock, sufficient for multiple western blot experiments probing skeletal muscle, liver, or brain lysates from human, mouse, and rat origin. The polyclonal format provides epitope diversity useful for detecting full-length PHKB (~125 kDa) as well as potential splice variants, and the glycerol-stabilized buffer keeps the antibody ready for direct dilution into standard Laemmli sample buffer. Researchers studying glycogen breakdown regulation, McArdle-like phenotypes, or downstream cAMP-dependent signaling pathways can integrate this reagent into existing WB pipelines alongside housekeeping controls such as vinculin or GAPDH.
