Raised against human PHD finger protein 6 (PHF6), this rabbit polyclonal IgG from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody in liquid format, validated for Western blot (WB) applications on human samples. The reagent supports research into chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation involving PHF6, and the unconjugated format leaves secondary antibody choice to the investigator.

PHF6 contains two plant homeodomain (PHD) zinc-finger motifs and acts as a component of the PBAF (SWI/SNF-B) chromatin-remodeling complex, contributing to nucleosome positioning and gene expression control in hematopoietic and neural lineages. Germline PHF6 mutations cause Borjeson-Forssman-Lehmann syndrome, an X-linked neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by intellectual disability, hypotonia, and distinctive facial features, while somatic PHF6 alterations are recurrent in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and in certain acute myeloid leukemias. The antibody is therefore useful for studies of leukemogenesis, X-linked intellectual disability, and the wider biology of chromatin-associated factors.

For storage, keep the vial at -20 °C and divide into single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; working aliquots can be held short-term at 4 °C without loss of activity. Polyclonal reactivity across epitopes provides robustness against minor sample-to-sample variation, and the rabbit IgG host is convenient for use with widely available anti-rabbit secondary reagents. Intended for research use only, the reagent is human-reactive and is not designed for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
