Raised in rabbit against a PHF3 (PHD finger protein 3) epitope region centered around residue D2033, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The 100 µl vial is configured for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human and mouse samples, supporting studies of chromatin-associated transcription regulation, RNA polymerase II elongation, and DNA damage response.

PHF3 is a predominantly nuclear protein characterized by a plant homeodomain (PHD) finger that recognizes methylated histone marks and a downstream SPOC-like module implicated in Pol II CTD interaction. Published work links PHF3 to suppression of oncogenic transcription programs in leukemia and glioblastoma models, and to the cellular response to UV-induced DNA damage, which makes it a relevant marker for cancer biology, epigenetics, and genome stability laboratories.

Recommended handling is refrigerated storage at 4°C; for working stocks, aliquot the solution to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the polyclonal antibody. The unconjugated format permits in-house fluorophore or enzyme conjugation, and the polyclonal antibody pool recognizes multiple epitopes on PHF3, which is useful when probing denatured lysates on western blot membranes or fixed, paraffin-embedded sections in IHC staining protocols. Each lot is verified on human cell lysates and mouse tissue by western blot.
