PGM1, or Phosphoglucomutase 1, is a key metabolic enzyme that interconverts glucose-1-phosphate and glucose-6-phosphate, bridging glycogen breakdown with glycolysis. Mutations in the PGM1 gene cause PGM1 deficiency, a congenital disorder of glycosylation (CDG type Iit) that presents with combined immunodeficiency, muscle weakness, and abnormal glycogen accumulation. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets endogenous PGM1 in human, mouse, and rat samples and has been validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated serum, the reagent allows researchers to pair it with their preferred secondary antibodies and fluorophore configurations. Staining localizes to cytoplasmic compartments, consistent with the known subcellular distribution of PGM1 in liver, muscle, and other metabolically active tissues.
