Anti-PGLS Antibody

Provided through the Antibodies.com catalogue and distributed by AFMS, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against 6-phosphogluconolactonase (PGLS) and is supplied as a 50 µl liquid at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The unconjugated IgG is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) and is intended to detect endogenous levels of total PGLS protein, an enzyme of the pentose phosphate pathway that hydrolyses 6-phosphogluconolactone to 6-phosphogluconate. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen (a synthetic peptide derived from the internal region of human PGLS). It is shipped at 4 °C; on arrival, aliquots should be stored at –20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity, and is for research use only. As an affinity-purified polyclonal of the IgG isotype raised in rabbit, the reagent offers broad epitope coverage for consistent detection across samples.
