Anti-PGC Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against human Pepsinogen C (PGC), the inactive zymogen precursor of the aspartic protease pepsin C. PGC is secreted by gastric chief cells and, together with Pepsinogen A, has been monitored in serum as a biomarker of gastric mucosal atrophy in gastric cancer screening studies. The Antibodies.com reagent is supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum in a vial and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human tissue sections. The polyclonal format provides multi-epitope recognition, which is useful when probing denatured lysates in WB or formalin-fixed sections in IHC where a single linear determinant may be lost through fixation. Store refrigerated between uses; aliquot the antiserum into single-use portions to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity over the shelf life of the reagent.
