PFK-B (platelet-type phosphofructokinase, PFKP) is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of fructose-6-phosphate to fructose-1,6-bisphosphate, a rate-controlling step in central carbon metabolism. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum and supports multiple immunoassay workflows including western blot, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.
Polyclonal reagents recognize multiple epitopes across the target, which is useful when probing denatured lysates for expression profiling of glycolytic enzymes in tumor metabolism, platelet biology, and metabolic disease research. Storage at -20 °C in small aliquots is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity across repeated experiments. Each vial is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
