Anti-Peroxiredoxin 1 Antibody

Clone A39366 from Antibodies.com is a mouse IgG1 monoclonal that binds endogenous Peroxiredoxin 1 (PRDX1), the 22 kDa thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase also annotated as NKEF-A, PAGA, PAGB, TDPX2, and proliferation-associated gene protein. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of affinity-purified immunoglobulin at 1.0 mg/mL, formulated in phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4 with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, and ships as an unconjugated reagent so it can be paired with chemiluminescent, fluorescent, or colorimetric secondaries.

It is validated for Western blot, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry on human, rat, and mouse samples. In-house validation data from Antibodies.com shows a clean band in MCF7 cells, rat kidney, and mouse brain at a 1:2000 dilution, and specific cytoplasmic immunofluorescence in HeLa cells at 1:100. The recommended working dilutions are WB 1:1000-1:3000, ICC/IF 1:50-1:200, and IHC 1:50-1:200, with overnight 4 °C incubation in 5% non-fat milk/TBST for blots. Cross-reactivity studies confirm detection of human, rat, and mouse PRDX1 with no significant signal in PRDX2- or PRDX3-overexpressing lysates, supporting use as a PRDX1-specific reagent for redox, cancer, and neuroinflammation research.

For handling, aliquot the vial on arrival to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, store at -20 °C in working aliquots (short-term 4 °C use is acceptable for up to two weeks), and avoid sodium azide removal unless the downstream assay requires it.
