Anti-Peroxin 26 Antibody

Raised in rabbits against the peroxisomal membrane biogenesis factor PEX26, this polyclonal reagent recognizes Peroxin 26 in human samples and is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary antibody that supports several routine detection workflows.

The PEX26 protein anchors to the peroxisomal membrane, where it recruits the AAA-ATPases PEX1 and PEX6 to the organelle surface to drive the matrix-protein import cycle that maintains peroxisome integrity. Loss-of-function mutations in PEX26 are linked to Zellweger syndrome and other peroxisome biogenesis disorders affecting liver, kidney, and neural development.

Investigators studying peroxisome assembly, inherited metabolic disease, or organelle biogenesis can apply this antibody to western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human cells and tissue sections. The unconjugated format leaves selection of secondary detection chemistries open.
