Raised in rabbit against the human peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP1A, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µg of unconjugated IgG in a single-use vial and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples.

FKBP1A, also called FKBP12, is a 12 kDa immunophilin that catalyzes cis-trans isomerization of proline peptide bonds during protein folding and serves as the intracellular receptor for the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin. The rapamycin–FKBP1A complex directly inhibits mTORC1, placing this target at the center of studies on T-cell activation, transplant immunology, autophagy regulation, and neurodegeneration models including Parkinson's and Huntington's disease.

Typical experimental uses include detection of endogenous FKBP1A in whole-cell lysates, characterization of mTOR pathway activity under rapamycin treatment, and immunoprecipitation-grade pull-downs from mammalian lines such as HEK293 or Jurkat. The unconjugated format supports custom conjugation to fluorophores, HRP, or biotin for research use only. Aliquot and freeze at -20 °C for long-term storage and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
