Anti-Pepsinogen I (PGI) Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this Mouse monoclonal antibody is raised against human Pepsinogen I (PGI), a zymogen secreted by chief cells of the gastric mucosa that is autocatalytically cleaved to active pepsin in the stomach. The clone is supplied as a purified monoclonal antibody in liquid format, unconjugated and of the IgG1 isotype, produced in mouse host cells and purified to greater than 95% homogeneity by SDS-PAGE. The immunogen used for immunization was purified human pepsinogen I, and the antibody specifically recognizes the PGI isoform of pepsinogen. It is intended for use as a primary antibody in ELISA, as well as in lateral flow assay development. The product is presented at a total size of 1 mg and is formulated in 10 mM phosphate buffered saline at pH 7.0 to preserve antibody stability and binding activity. For shipping and short-term handling, the vial is maintained at 4 °C; for short-term storage of less than two weeks it should also be kept at 4 °C, while for longer term storage the reagent should be aliquoted and held at –20 °C with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. The product is offered as a research-use-only reagent and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
