Anti-PEBP1 Antibody

Polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com directed against PEBP1, the ~21 kDa phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein 1 also referred to as RKIP (Raf kinase inhibitory protein). The unconjugated IgG reagent is supplied as 200 µl of liquid and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples.

Because PEBP1 acts as an endogenous brake on the Raf/MEK/ERK cascade and also modulates NF-κB and heterotrimeric G-protein signaling, this reagent is widely used in cancer metastasis research, neurodegeneration studies (where RKIP has been implicated in amyloid precursor protein processing), and investigations of cardiac and reproductive biology. The rabbit host works cleanly with standard anti-rabbit IgG secondaries for chromogenic DAB or fluorescent IHC imaging.

Its unconjugated IgG format means the antibody can be paired with HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor, or other user-supplied reporters. It is appropriate for probing whole-cell lysates, frozen sections, and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, and the polyclonal mix offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal reagent.
