PDYN (prodynorphin) is the precursor polypeptide for several endogenous opioid neuropeptides, including dynorphin A, dynorphin B, and α-neoendorphin, which act primarily through kappa-opioid receptors. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against PDYN and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, for research use only. Provided as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the reagent supports neuroscience studies of nociception, stress response, and substance-use pathways where altered dynorphin signalling has been implicated. The polyclonal format offers multi-epitope recognition of the prodynorphin precursor, useful when probing tissue lysates or fixed brain sections for expression of the full-length protein.
