Pyridoxal kinase (PDXK) catalyzes the final step in the biosynthesis of pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (PLP), the biologically active coenzyme form of vitamin B6. The Antibodies.com Anti-PDXK Antibody is a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit and validated for western blot and immunofluorescence detection of the human enzyme, supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot.
This unconjugated primary antibody enables flexible selection of secondary reagents and detection chemistries. It reacts with human PDXK and can be applied to immunoblotting of cell or tissue lysates, as well as to immunofluorescence imaging of fixed cells and tissue sections to visualize subcellular localization of PDXK expression.
Relevant areas of investigation include neurotransmitter synthesis, one-carbon metabolism, and studies of conditions linked to PLP deficiency or altered B6 homeostasis. The reagent supports basic and translational research into vitamin B6 metabolism and the regulation of PLP-dependent enzymes, providing a tool for probing PDXK levels and distribution in human biological samples.
