PDPN (Podoplanin) is a mucin-type transmembrane glycoprotein widely used as a selective marker of lymphatic endothelium and as a clinically relevant indicator in several tumor types. The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal Anti-PDPN reagent is raised against human Podoplanin and supplied as an IgG polyclonal, unconjugated antibody in a 200 µl vial, providing sufficient working volume for multiple western blot membranes and immunohistochemistry experiments. In IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, it is used to discriminate lymphatic from blood vessels and to evaluate PDPN expression on tumor cells in squamous cell carcinoma, mesothelioma, and oral mucosal lesions. In western blot, it supports confirmation of Podoplanin levels in cell lysates and primary lymphatic endothelial cultures. Reactive with human samples, this antibody is suited to research use only studies of lymphangiogenesis, tumor microenvironment, and CLEC-2 platelet signaling biology.
