PDPK1 (3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase 1, also called PDK1) is a cytoplasmic serine/threonine kinase of approximately 63 kDa that functions as a master regulator of AGC kinase signaling downstream of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K). It phosphorylates the activation loop of Akt/PKB at Thr308, as well as PKC isoforms, p70 S6 kinase, and SGK, linking PI3K activity to downstream control of cell growth, survival, glucose transport, and protein translation.

Provided as a rabbit polyclonal, unconjugated antibody, this reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against PDPK1 and validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. The antibody recognizes an epitope conserved across human, mouse, and rat PDPK1, supporting cross-species use in tissue sections and cell preparations. Supplied in a 100 µL volume, the antibody can be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles and stored refrigerated for routine bench use.

Researchers use anti-PDPK1 antibodies to assess PI3K pathway activation status, confirm Akt pathway engagement in insulin and growth factor signaling studies, and probe PDPK1 expression in tumor and tissue specimens. It is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
