Anti-PDLIM5 Antibody

The PDLIM5 target, also called ENH (Enigma homolog), is a scaffold protein built from a single N-terminal PDZ domain followed by three tandem LIM zinc-finger motifs. Through those modules it tethers signaling proteins and transcription factors to the actin cytoskeleton, and its redistribution between the cytoplasm, nucleus, and Z-discs of cardiomyocytes is a recurring theme in studies of cardiac hypertrophy, neuronal differentiation, and stress-granule biology.

Produced by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal, this reagent binds the human PDLIM5 sequence and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on fixed sections, and immunofluorescence staining of cultured cells. The polyclonal format raises the chance of detecting multiple epitopes on the same target, which is helpful when probing tissue-specific isoforms or phosphorylation states. Each shipment is supplied as 100 µl of antiserum, sufficient for dozens of blot or staining runs depending on dilution.
