Anti-PDK1 (phospho-S241) Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting PDK1 phosphorylated at Serine 241, supplied by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody for research use. The unconjugated reagent is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, with reactivity confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human PDK1 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 241. Specificity is directed against the phosphorylated form: the antibody detects endogenous levels of PDK1 protein only when phosphorylated at Ser241. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, with purity reported as > 95% by SDS-PAGE. The product is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.

The target protein, pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 1 (PDK1), is described as an intracellular enzyme with low tissue specificity. The antibody is intended for detection of the phosphorylated PDK1 species migrating at approximately 63 kDa.
