PDIR (Protein Disulfide Isomerase-Related, also designated PDIA5) is an endoplasmic reticulum-resident foldase belonging to the protein disulfide isomerase family, distinguished by three thioredoxin-like domains rather than the two found in canonical PDI. It contributes to oxidative protein folding, chaperone activity, and the unfolded protein response, with reported links to hepatocellular carcinoma and cellular stress signaling.
Produced by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the human PDIR target and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated serum. Validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF), the antibody supports studies of ER-resident chaperones, UPR activation, and tumor biology in human samples. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the PDIR protein, an advantage when working with post-translationally modified or alternatively processed isoforms.
For routine handling, store at -20 °C in small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light when pairing with fluorescent secondary reagents.
