PDIA6, also called ERp5 or protein disulfide isomerase A6, is an endoplasmic reticulum lumen resident enzyme that catalyzes thiol-disulfide exchange and assists in the folding of nascent glycoproteins. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the human, mouse, and rat orthologs and is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready to dilute directly into blocking buffer for western blot, immunohistochemistry on fixed sections, and immunofluorescence staining of cultured cells.

As an unconjugated primary antibody it pairs with HRP- or fluorophore-coupled secondary reagents chosen by the user, and the polyclonal format increases the chance of binding multiple epitopes on the 48 kDa target. PDIA6 expression rises with ER load and has been reported in glioblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma tissue studies, so validated detection in these sample types is useful for researchers tracking unfolded protein response signaling, chaperone-assisted folding, and tumor cell stress responses.

Aliquot on first use to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and store the glycerol stock short term at -20 °C or at -80 °C for longer holding.
