Pyruvate dehydrogenase E1 alpha subunit (PDHA1) is a mitochondrial matrix enzyme that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate to acetyl-CoA, the committed step linking glycolysis to the citric acid cycle. The polyclonal rabbit antibody from Antibodies.com targets PDHA1 and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence in human, mouse, and rat samples.
Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antisera, the reagent supports research into cellular bioenergetics, mitochondrial biogenesis, and metabolic reprogramming in cancer and neurodegeneration. Aliquot upon arrival and refrigerate to limit freeze-thaw damage and preserve antigen-binding activity. Common uses include probing Warburg effect signatures in tumor lysates, assessing PDH complex integrity in patient-derived fibroblasts, and verifying knockdown or overexpression of PDHA1 in cell culture models following lentiviral transduction.
