The Anti-PDGFR-α Antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFR-α), a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase central to mesenchymal cell proliferation, embryonic development, and tissue maintenance. This unconjugated primary antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and ELISA applications and cross-reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

PDGFR-α signaling is widely investigated in cancer biology, where receptor overexpression or activating mutations are linked to gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), glioblastoma, and certain leukemias, and in fibrosis, vascular biology, and stem cell differentiation studies. Researchers use this reagent to probe receptor phosphorylation, downstream PI3K/AKT and MAPK/ERK pathway activity, and ligand-induced internalization across normal and disease-relevant tissue lysates.

Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antibody from a rabbit host, the unconjugated format offers flexibility for downstream detection: laboratories can pair it with HRP-conjugated, fluorophore-labeled, or biotinylated secondary reagents depending on assay platform. The reagent is intended for research use only and supports reproducible immunoblotting and ELISA-based quantification under standard laboratory conditions.
