PDGFB (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Subunit B) is a disulfide-linked homodimer that signals through PDGFR-β to drive mesenchymal cell proliferation, pericyte recruitment, and connective tissue remodeling. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl vial, ready for direct use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers commonly apply it to characterize PDGFB expression in glioma, fibrotic lesions, atherosclerotic plaques, and developing vasculature, where it supports detection of the mature growth-factor chain on reducing blots and cytoplasmic staining in tissue sections. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the PDGF-B chain, which is useful when probing processed forms, splice variants, or limited material.
