Raised in rabbit against the human Prostaglandin D2 receptor (PD2R), this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of antibody suitable for immunology and signal-transduction research. PD2R is a G protein-coupled receptor that mediates the actions of prostaglandin D2, a lipid mediator involved in allergic inflammation, asthma pathobiology, eosinophil recruitment, and Th2-type immune responses. The reagent is therefore useful for studies of airway inflammation, mast-cell biology, and lipid-receptor pharmacology.

Validated for Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows, the antibody reacts with human samples and is shipped refrigerated. For long-term storage, aliquot the reagent and freeze; protect from light and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve the polyclonal preparation. Working dilutions should be prepared in buffer appropriate to the chosen assay and stored cold until use.

Investigators employ the reagent to map receptor expression in tissue sections by immunohistochemistry, follow protein levels by Western blot, localize receptor distribution in cells by immunofluorescence, and quantify receptor abundance in cell-culture lysates or supernatants by ELISA. The unconjugated format provides flexibility for downstream labeling with HRP, fluorophores, or biotin, supporting both chromogenic and fluorescence detection schemes. Used in research laboratories studying inflammation, respiratory biology, and prostaglandin signaling pathways.
