Anti-PCNT Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets PCNT (Pericentrin), a centrosomal scaffold protein that organizes microtubules and anchors the pericentriolar matrix around centrioles. It is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, raised in Rabbit and validated for Western Blot detection in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

PCNT is widely studied in the context of mitotic spindle assembly, centrosome duplication, and cell division, and loss-of-function mutations in the gene are linked to microcephalic primordial dwarfism and certain ciliopathies. Researchers investigating centriole biology, asymmetric division in stem cell populations, and chromosome segregation fidelity use anti-PCNT antibodies to probe centrosome maturation states and pericentriolar material dynamics by immunoblotting.
