PCNA (Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen) is a nuclear protein that serves as a critical marker of cell proliferation, commonly used to assess DNA replication and S-phase activity in tissue samples. This unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically targets PCNA and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications. The reagent shows reactivity against human and mouse samples, supporting cross-species studies in oncology, cell biology, and developmental research. Supplied as 100 µl, the antibody is frequently applied to evaluate proliferation rates in tumor tissue sections and to detect replication-associated processes in fixed or frozen specimens. PCNA expression peaks during S-phase of the cell cycle, and immunostaining with this reagent is widely used to calculate labeling indices in studies of cancer progression, tissue regeneration, and DNA repair mechanisms. The monoclonal format provides batch-to-batch consistency for reproducible staining across multiple experiments and long-term research programs.
