PCNA (Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen) is a 36 kDa nuclear auxiliary protein that acts as a sliding clamp for DNA polymerase δ during replication, making it a widely used marker of actively dividing cells in S-phase.
This Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes endogenous PCNA and is supplied as a 100 µg liquid aliquot. It has been validated for western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, dot blot, and ELISA across a broad species panel including human, mouse, rat, hamster, chicken, and Xenopus.
Researchers commonly apply it to assess proliferation in tumor sections, characterize cell cycle progression in cultured cells, and monitor DNA synthesis in developmental studies using Xenopus and chick embryos. For best results, store at -20 °C in small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and centrifuge briefly before opening the vial.
