Anti-PCK1 Antibody

Produced in rabbit and raised against phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is validated for Western blot (WB) detection of the cytosolic gluconeogenic enzyme PCK1 in human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide, packaged as 100 µl per vial.

PCK1 (PEPCK1) catalyzes the conversion of oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate and is studied extensively in hepatic glucose output, fasting metabolism, and the metabolic reprogramming observed in hepatocellular carcinoma and clear cell renal cell carcinoma. On Western blots of whole-cell lysates from liver, kidney, or transfected cells, the antibody recognizes the ~69 kDa cytosolic band and does not distinguish the mitochondrial PEPCK2 isoform, which migrates at a similar molecular weight.
