The PCBD1 protein (pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase 1), also known as DCoH, performs a dual role by regenerating tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) and acting as a transcriptional coactivator for HNF-1α. Loss-of-function variants in the encoding gene have been associated with hyperphenylalaninemia and primapterinuria, making this target relevant for studies of inherited metabolic disorders and hepatic gene regulation.
Produced by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is unconjugated and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat specimens. The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, in a 100 µl vial format that supports numerous blotting and staining experiments. Researchers working on pterin metabolism, hepatology, and rare-disease biology can apply this antibody to investigate endogenous PCBD1 expression in cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and fixed sections.
