PBK (PDZ-binding kinase), also known as TOPK, is a serine/threonine kinase that regulates mitotic entry, spindle formation, and cytokinesis in actively dividing cells. The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated in a 100 µl volume, validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows on human and monkey samples.
PBK expression is normally restricted to proliferating tissues but rises sharply in many solid tumors, including breast, lung, and colorectal cancers, so the reagent is used to track tumor proliferation markers, mitotic index in tissue sections, and DNA damage response signaling in cell-based assays.
Because the target sits at the intersection of cell cycle and stress kinase pathways, researchers apply this antibody to study chemoresistance mechanisms, p53-related signaling, and Cdk1-dependent phosphorylation events in cancer cell lines.
