Paxillin is a ~68 kDa focal adhesion phosphoprotein that localizes to integrin-mediated cell-matrix junctions, where it becomes phosphorylated on tyrosine and serine residues in response to adhesion signaling, growth factor stimulation, and mechanical cues. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is used to detect paxillin in whole-cell lysates, tissue sections, and fixed cells prepared from human, mouse, rat, and monkey samples.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal serum and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows. Because polyclonal sera typically recognize multiple epitopes on the target, the reagent is well suited to probing phosphorylated or alternatively processed forms of paxillin that arise during active signaling.

Typical laboratory uses include mapping focal adhesion assembly in cell migration assays, tracking adhesion remodeling in cancer invasion models, and characterizing integrin-dependent signaling cascades in vascular and neuronal tissue contexts.
