PAX4 is a paired-box transcription factor essential for the differentiation and survival of pancreatic beta cells during islet development, and altered PAX4 expression has been linked to Type 2 diabetes and certain forms of Maturity Onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY). The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent detects this transcription factor in human and mouse tissue and is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated rabbit antiserum for use in western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows. Researchers studying beta-cell regeneration, islet morphogenesis, or PAX4-mediated transcriptional regulation commonly use this reagent to examine protein expression in pancreatic tissue sections and to confirm endogenous levels in cell-line lysates. The antibody is provided in a single-use vial format that is convenient for aliquoting into smaller working stocks to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the unconjugated format allows it to be paired with a secondary reagent matched to the chosen detection method.
