PARK7 (also known as DJ-1) is a redox-sensitive protein encoded by the PARK7 gene that protects cells from oxidative damage by acting as a cytoplasmic antioxidant and redox-regulated chaperone. Loss-of-function mutations in PARK7 cause autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson's disease, and altered DJ-1 expression has been linked to neurodegeneration, cancer progression, and male infertility, making it a widely studied target across neuroscience, oncology, and cell biology research.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes endogenous PARK7/DJ-1 in human, mouse, and rat samples. It is supplied as a 100 µL aliquot and has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes on the PARK7 protein, supporting detection of full-length DJ-1 as well as redox-modified and oxidized forms of the protein in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.

Typical uses include characterizing mitochondrial dysfunction in dopaminergic neurons, profiling PARK7 oxidation states under oxidative stress conditions, and examining DJ-1 localization in tumor and brain specimens. The unconjugated format allows flexibility with custom fluorophore, biotin, or HRP conjugation in downstream assays. For short-term use, refrigerate the antibody; for longer storage, freeze at -20 °C in working aliquots and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve reactivity. For research use only.
