PARK7, also widely known as DJ-1, is a highly conserved 189-amino-acid protein that functions as a redox-sensitive chaperone and oxidative stress sensor. Mutations in the PARK7 gene are a recognized cause of autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson's disease, and altered DJ-1 expression has been reported in several cancer types, making it a frequent target in neurodegeneration and oncology research.
This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent, supplied by Antibodies.com, is raised against PARK7 and validated across western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows, with reactivity confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples.
Provided as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the antibody supports studies of mitochondrial function, Cys106 oxidation-dependent signaling, and protein aggregation models relevant to dopaminergic neuron survival. Store refrigerated and protect from light to preserve antibody activity.
