PARK2 (Parkin) is a 52 kDa cytosolic E3 ubiquitin ligase best known for its role in the PINK1/Parkin mitophagy pathway, where it tags damaged mitochondria for autophagic clearance through ubiquitin conjugation onto outer-membrane substrates such as VDAC1 and the mitofusins. Loss-of-function mutations in the PARK2 gene are the most frequent genetic cause of early-onset autosomal recessive Parkinsonism, and the protein is broadly studied across neuroscience, mitochondrial biology, and neurodegeneration research.

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against PARK2 and is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in a PBS buffer containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged in a single-use vial and ready for direct dilution into standard assay workflows. It is unconjugated, allowing researchers to pair it with their preferred secondary detection reagents, and it has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human, mouse, and rat samples. The polyclonal format gives broad epitope coverage across the Parkin sequence, which is useful when probing for full-length protein or detecting multiple isoforms in heterologous expression systems and in primary neuron or glial cultures.
