Anti-Parainfluenza Virus type 1 (PIV-1) Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com, this mouse monoclonal antibody, clone 251/12A (PAR1), is raised against the fusion protein of Parainfluenza Virus type 1 (HPIV-1), an enveloped single-stranded RNA virus of the Paramyxoviridae family that is a major causative agent of lower respiratory tract infections in young and immunologically vulnerable individuals. The antibody targets an epitope within the ~60–66 kDa HPIV-1 fusion (F) glycoprotein, the surface protein responsible for mediating fusion of the viral envelope with the host-cell membrane during infection. The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml as a Protein A-purified, unconjugated liquid format, with IgG2a as the mouse isotype, and is validated for ELISA and Immunofluorescence (IFA/IF) applications, reacting with viral antigens. Each pack contains 1 mg of antibody, and the product is intended for research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
