PAR4 (Protease-Activated Receptor 4) is a G-protein coupled receptor that mediates cellular responses to thrombin and other proteases, with established roles in platelet activation, vascular signaling, and inflammatory pathways. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes PAR4 and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting translational studies that bridge rodent disease models with human tissue specimens.

The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl volume at 1 mg/ml in PBS supplemented with 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The unconjugated format gives researchers flexibility to pair the primary reagent with HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-labeled secondary antibodies of their choice. For Western blot, the antibody resolves PAR4 in the low-40 kDa region under standard reducing SDS-PAGE conditions. For immunohistochemistry, it performs on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections following heat-induced antigen retrieval, and is also compatible with frozen cryosection preparations.

Storage guidance: aliquot upon receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 °C. Refrigerated short-term storage at 4 °C is acceptable for working stocks intended for use within a few weeks. Protect the vial from light and avoid extended room temperature exposure. A brief centrifugation step before opening the vial recovers any antibody that may have collected near the cap during shipping, ensuring accurate pipetting of the 1 mg/ml stock.
