This unconjugated IgG polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets PAPSS1, the bifunctional ATP-sulfurylase/APS-kinase enzyme that catalyzes the formation of 3'-phosphoadenosine-5'-phosphosulfate (PAPS) from ATP and inorganic sulfate. PAPS is the universal activated sulfate donor for cytosolic sulfotransferases, so immunoblotting for PAPSS1 is widely used to characterize sulfate-activation capacity in human cell lines and tissue lysates.

The antibody is raised in rabbit, purified from antiserum, and supplied as 200 µl of liquid in a single-use vial format intended for Western blot applications. For best stability, aliquot upon arrival and store at -20 °C; protect from light and limit freeze-thaw cycles. Researchers typically resolve the endogenous PAPSS1 band at approximately 70 kDa in HepG2, HEK293, or placental extracts, and the reagent has been used in studies of spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia, steroid hormone sulfation, and xenobiotic detoxification pathways.
