Palladin is a cytoskeletal scaffold protein that organizes actin filaments at focal adhesions, stress fibers, and along the cell membrane, linking the actin cytoskeleton to signaling complexes that control cell shape, motility, and adhesion. This unconjugated rabbit IgG polyclonal reagent was raised against recombinant PALLD and recognizes human and mouse palladin isoforms, making it a useful tool for studies of cytoskeletal remodeling, fibroblast biology, and tumor cell migration.

Validated applications include Western blotting of cell and tissue lysates, immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin sections, immunofluorescence microscopy on cultured cells, immunoprecipitation of native palladin complexes, and flow cytometry. The antibody is supplied as 50 µL of liquid antiserum in a single-use vial format, which is sufficient for dozens of immunoblots or many immunohistochemistry runs depending on dilution. Recommended working concentrations typically fall in the 1 to 5 µg/mL range for blotting and 1 to 10 µg/mL for immunohistochemistry, with dilution in BSA- or milk-containing buffers to reduce nonspecific binding.

Researchers use this Antibodies.com reagent to examine focal adhesion dynamics, myofibroblast differentiation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, and palladin isoform switching reported in invasive carcinomas. Because palladin cross-links actin and binds α-actinin, VASP, and profilin, the antibody supports co-immunoprecipitation experiments aimed at mapping cytoskeletal interactomes. For short-term use, keep refrigerated; aliquots stored frozen at -20 °C avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve reactivity for long-term studies. The reagent is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic applications.
