Anti-PAK3 (phospho-S154) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com raised against PAK3 phosphorylated at Serine 154. The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human PAK3 surrounding the Ser154 phosphorylation site, and the reagent detects endogenous levels of PAK3 only when phosphorylated at this residue. It is validated for Western blotting and reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is unconjugated and supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. It has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using the epitope-specific immunogen, with purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE, and recognises a target protein of approximately 65 kDa.

PAK3 (p21-activated kinase 3) is linked in humans to cognitive deficits suggestive of defective cortical circuits and to brain structural abnormalities, with most known human variants lacking kinase activity. The kinase has also been implicated in cardiac pathology, with elevated levels reported in failing hearts and a described role in suppressing autophagy through hyperactivation of mTORC1.
