PAK2 (p21-activated kinase 2) is a serine/threonine kinase that regulates cytoskeletal remodeling, cell motility, and apoptosis signaling. Phosphorylation at serine 20 has been described during caspase-mediated activation, making phospho-S20 PAK2 a useful marker for studying kinase activation cascades in programmed cell death and stress response pathways.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the phosphorylated S20 site of human PAK2 and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline containing 15 mM sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2, and it cross-reacts with mouse and rat samples in addition to human.

The polyclonal format offers recognition of multiple epitopes surrounding the phospho-S20 site, which can be helpful when monitoring dynamic changes in PAK2 activation state across different treatment conditions. The unconjugated format leaves selection of the secondary antibody and detection chemistry open, whether HRP-based chemiluminescence for Western blot or enzyme- or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries for IHC detection of activated PAK2 in tissue sections.
