Anti-PAK2 Antibody

Polyclonal rabbit antibody directed against p21-activated kinase 2 (PAK2), a broadly expressed serine/threonine kinase that couples Rho-family GTPase activity (Cdc42, Rac) to cytoskeletal reorganization, cell motility, and caspase-driven apoptosis. The reagent from Antibodies.com is provided unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged in a 100 µl vial that supports many individual staining or blotting experiments. Application testing confirms use in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples, covering the species in which PAK2 signaling is most often interrogated. The antibody is widely used to follow endogenous kinase expression across total cell lysates, to localize PAK2 immunoreactivity in fixed tissue sections, and to monitor the caspase-3 cleavage of the ~58 kDa full-length protein into a smaller catalytic fragment during programmed cell death. For day-to-day handling, keep the vial refrigerated after opening and aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the 50% glycerol cryoprotectant also permits longer-term storage at -20°C without loss of titer.
