This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets p21-activated kinase 1 (PAK1) only when threonine 212 is phosphorylated, an autophosphorylation site associated with kinase activation downstream of Rac1 and Cdc42 small GTPase signaling. Raised in rabbit as an IgG preparation and supplied unconjugated in 100 µl, it is validated for Western blot detection of the phosphorylated kinase in human lysates. Researchers studying cytoskeletal remodeling, cell migration, and mitogenic signaling pathways commonly use this reagent to track PAK1 activation status in response to growth factor stimulation or GTPase activation.

PAK1 phosphorylation at T212 is transient and stimulus-dependent, making this antibody useful for time-course experiments that dissect upstream regulators including selected receptor tyrosine kinases and adaptor proteins. The reagent detects only the phosphorylated form of PAK1 and is not appropriate for measuring total PAK1 protein, so it is typically paired with a pan-PAK1 antibody when both activation state and expression level are of interest. Aliquoting upon first use is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve phospho-specific binding activity; the vial should be stored refrigerated for short-term use or frozen for long-term storage, protected from light. For research use only, this antibody is intended for laboratory studies of kinase signaling in cell biology and oncology research.
