This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes p21-activated kinase 1 (PAK1) at an epitope surrounding residue K198 of the human protein. PAK1 is a serine/threonine kinase that acts downstream of the small GTPases Cdc42 and Rac1, regulating cytoskeletal reorganization, cell migration, focal adhesion turnover, and MAPK cascade signaling. Investigators studying cytoskeletal dynamics, neuronal development, or oncogenic signaling pathways rely on validated PAK1 reagents to map kinase activity in cells and tissues.

The antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH approximately 7.2, with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative. Each vial contains 50 µl of the stock reagent, enough for multiple western blot and immunohistochemistry experiments depending on dilution and detection conditions.

Validated applications include western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated format gives end users full flexibility to pair the primary reagent with their preferred secondary antibodies, including HRP-conjugated, biotin-conjugated, or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries for chromogenic or fluorescence detection workflows in fixed tissue sections and cell lysates.
