Raised in rabbit against the p21-activated kinase 1 (PAK1) target, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. PAK1 is a serine/threonine kinase activated downstream of the small GTPases Rac1 and Cdc42, where it governs cytoskeletal reorganization, focal adhesion turnover, cell migration, proliferation, and survival signaling. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of PAK1 phosphorylation status, expression changes in tumor versus matched normal tissue, and downstream effector engagement such as MEK1/2 or LIMK pathway readouts in cancer, neuronal, and immune cell models. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes within the K198 region, improving detection when the target is partially degraded or carries post-translational modifications. For short term use, refrigerate at 4 degrees C; for longer term storage, aliquot the antibody into working volumes and freeze at -20 degrees C to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve titer. Each vial contains enough reagent for dozens of Western blot membranes or multiple immunohistochemistry runs depending on dilution.
