Anti-PAK1 / 2 / 3 (Ab-423 / 402 / 421) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognises the phosphorylated activation loop of p21-activated kinases 1, 2 and 3, raised against a conserved epitope containing threonine 423 of PAK1, threonine 402 of PAK2 and threonine 421 of PAK3. Phosphorylation at these adjacent activation-loop residues is the principal marker of catalytically active group I PAKs, the serine/threonine kinases that sit downstream of Rac1 and Cdc42 to remodel the actin cytoskeleton, drive focal-adhesion turnover and support MAPK and AKT pathway signalling in motile, dividing and stressed cells.

Supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated antiserum, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples and is intended for research use only. PAK1 dominates in most epithelial and haematopoietic tissues, PAK2 is ubiquitous and essential, and PAK3 expression is largely restricted to the central nervous system, so the reagent is useful wherever activation of the group I PAK axis is being mapped across tissues or disease models.
